WOULD YOU RATHER TAG

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
This is a terrible question! I think I'd rather lose all my eyeshadows and palettes though, since a lot of my lipsticks have sentimental value to me. There goes my Naked palettes  :[

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Chop it all off. I hate having fried/dry ends and frequently trim it. In the meantime I could wear wigs!

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Pink.

4. If you had $1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Makeup.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
Eyeliner as lipstick - I've always wanted to try out black lips!

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
Sephora - it's (apparently) got a larger variety of brands, all MAC can be a bit hit and miss.

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
Eyeshadow. I love my lipsticks too much @_@

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?
Winter clothes in summer. I like me some layers.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Bright nails!

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Eye product. I feel like it's easier to find eyeshadow dupes than it is lip products since lip products can have slightly different effects/feels on different lips.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Messy bun, I hate ponytails on myself.

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
Lipgloss. After makeup, nail art is my next love! I'm not a huge lip gloss wearer anyway

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?
No eyebrows -_- I prefer natural looking eyebrows in the first place, a Sharpie is way too much for me, even if I have to shave them off..

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Makeup. I need that concealer!

HELLO DOLLY

Face of Australia came out with a new formula of blushes in two new shades ~last year. One of them is a shimmery peach, the other is a bright matte dolly pink, as the name suggests. I've had the older formula of blush before and I threw it out because the blush was very hard and difficult to release pigment from. This is a great everyday blush, although the colour in the pan may suggest otherwise.

I usually apply this with a large almost fluffy stippling brush lightly on my cheeks. Applied lightly, it gives a faint flush that is perfect for a winter rosy cheeked just-came-in-from-the-snow  look. Swatched it looks very bright and a bit garish, but it is easily blended out to sheer perfection and becomes slightly more corally over my yellow undertones. The formula is soft and blendable but is prone to fall out.

LUMINIZING VOYAGE

My mum bought me the Shiseido Luminizing eyeshadow trio in BR209 Voyage at a dutyfree in an airport in Vietnam. She actually gave me the choice between this one and the VI308 Bouquet which is a purple palette. She was actually trying to get me to buy the purple one but neutrals are my love! I've only recently been expanding into colours this year.  Anyway...

The packaging is nice, but this isn't really the best preview picture is it...
I absolutely treasure this trio because my mum bought it for me, and it was one of my first high end palettes (that I hadn't stolen from my mum's cupboards!). The packaging is typical of Shiseido - a high shine plastic casing with sleek lines. It actually came with some sponge applicators but i chucked them out long ago.

The eyeshadow pans are actually huge and contain a crapload of product, especially considering how pigmented they are. The formula is my favourite I have come across - smooth and silky, ridiculously blendable. while eyeshadows like urban decay are densely pigmented and buttery, these eyeshadows have the smoothest texture - like touching silk, literally not figuratively!
This would be a great beginners palette because the eyeshadows are so blendable and foolproof.
such soft eyeshadows (´ ▽`).。o♡.

Theres a warm medium brown with golden shimmers, a golden orange and the most beautiful gold-champagne with orange, gold and pink shimmers in it. The champagne is my most used colour as it works with absolutely anything. My swatches arent great but.. I tried!

NUDE BY NATURE

Hey all! Just popping in to talk about this awesome brush I found while perusing Priceline the other day.

super dense bristles!
To be honest, I've never really looked into Nude by Nature products. I'm not too convinced on mineral foundations yet and their products in general just didn't appeal to me. At the moment I've been really into brushes and believe it or not, I don't really own a proper kabuki brush! I mean I have the Sigma Kabuki set, but I mean a proper cute little kabuki with a short handle and is fluffy and cute.

Anyway I was looking around Priceline and I saw this brush. It was $14.95 AUD I believe and it came in a clear zip lock travel bag which was nice although I've lost it now.

I really love this brush! The brush is dense enough that it picks up a lot of product in one go, pretty much enough for my whole face although I'm a powder lover and tend to go  bit overboard sometimes... Despite it's density, the bristles are quite long so they are flexible and easily blend product around the face.

I've been using it to apply powder foundations on days where I feel I don't need a lot of coverage and just opt for concealer+powder. I've also used it before to apply foundation (which is pretty much the same as using a Sigma kabuki I find) and also to apply bronzer - it works wonderfully for all three purposes.

LADY DANGER

This is my very first MAC item! I was super excited about getting this since most of my makeup is "drugstore" makeup. I'm not really sure if that's the right word to use here in Australia but whatever. I looove bright lipsticks and this is way up my alley. Now, THIS is MAC Lady Danger

The packaging is sleek and functional with matte black torpedo shaped casing and silver detailing. Not too fancy but it is nice to look at in my lipstick holder. The lipsticks have a pleasant vanilla scent to them.

I was swatching some lipsticks on my hand and Lady Danger is the one that popped out at me. It was so much more densely pigmented than the others and was a clear standout with it's brightness. Its a loud orange toned red and I think it would be amazing in Summer. It makes my skin look very bright and radiant, although the orange undertones aren't great for my teeth harhar...
Mac Lady Danger swatched

Stain left after swatching. Sorry for the lighting changes
The lipstick is a matte formula which is just beautiful. Not too drying and richly pigmented. The lipstick lasted a whole school day from 9-5 for me and lasts through a coffee, eating, and lots of napkin dabbing. Although it isnt transfer proof, the lipsticck does stain which is what gives it its longevity. The initial finish isnt 100% matte, although after a short time it will love the slight sheen it has and will become completely matte.

It is an amazingly gorgeous lipstick and was a great intro to MAC for me. My wishlist for MAC is slowly building up...
